Welcome to our very first Chef’s corner blog. My name is Trisha LeBlanc and I am the Chef for Taylor Distributors and Lainox Combi Ovens.

I was born in the South, and grew up cooking food, raised in our garden, in a Cajun-southern style. Inspired at an early age, I entered the hospitality industry at age 16. I have traveled the world from New York City to Manila, Philippines developing my repertoire and feeding my passion for food and knowledge.

During my 20 years in the hospitality industry, I have been a community leader for my work in the fight against childhood hunger. I have worked with various organizations such as Chef and Child, Chefs Move to Schools, and Share Our Strength. While guest teaching at the American Hospitality Academy in Manila Philippines, I had the opportunity to cook for Government officials as well as discover the heritage of Filipino food.

Privileged to be invited to join South Africa’s World Chefs Tour Against Hunger, I and few others fed 1000’s of African children in need and raised millions of dollars for their brighter future. Being in the spice capital of the world, I discovered and created new spice mixtures which can be easily recognized in many of my signature dishes. I joined Sizzle Magazines’ Editorial Board where I was able to write about my experiences and share my knowledge with fellow culinarians. My experiences were well received as I was named “Outstanding Contributor of the Culinary World and Beyond” by the National Culinary Review.

I taught as a Culinary Arts Instructor at Ivy Tech Community College and was the Executive Chef at Courses Restaurant and Bakery. Prior to joining the team at Taylor Distributors, I was the Chef de Cuisine for the Indianapolis Colts Football Team.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Taylor Distributors and Lainox team where we are able to put a smile on peoples face everyday!
