The Red Cape® Technician for the month of November 2020 is Jay Lawhorn from Taylor Distributors of Indiana.
Jay was nominated by Ted Fugate, Taylor Indiana’s service director.
The following is Fugate’s depiction of why Jay is a Red Cape® Technician:
“Jay Lawhorn has been a member with Taylor’s organization for over 30 years. Through this tenure Jay has worked with Taylor of Kentucky (1988-2011) and Taylor Distributors of Indiana (2011-present).
“Jay is an instrumental piece for us in achieving our goals as a distributor and service department. Jay recently was promoted to our service manager and national account manager for our Steak ‘n Shake account.
“He travels throughout the country to support other distributors and assist in training store employees with Steak ‘n Shake. Jay always works hard to elevate the capability of our technicians through training and being available to help them during all hours of the day.
“We are also honored to be awarded with the “Service Department of the Year” through Taylor Corporate. This is only achieved through a strong team effort of our staff, and great leadership from our management where Jay’s influence has only lifted our abilities.
“In combining the knowledge of our service director Ted Fugate and the leadership of Jay Lawhorn, we’re extremely excited for the future of Taylor Distributors of Indiana.”
